For managers, the message is clear: the way we recruit, develop, and retain people needs to evolve\u2014and fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The labor shortage is real, and younger talent expects more: flexible work, clear support, and fast career growth. External hiring is expensive and competitive, which makes it even more important to invest in internal talent already mapped in your organizational chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet many HR teams are stuck in outdated systems, lacking both the tools and the time to focus on strategic impact. Leaders across functions are expecting more\u2014strategic thinking, AI integration, and real business impact. But without proper data systems or support, talent managers are often left building the foundation from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s where managers at all levels can step in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Get the basics right.<\/strong> Work with HR to improve access to clean, connected data.
