Gary Newman graduated from Yale University and from University of Southern California Law Center. Gary was Vice President, Business Affairs at NBC, and Manager, Business Affairs at NBC. Before that he worked for the Legal department of Columbia Pictures Television. He got his start as an associate with Lillick, McHose & Charles. Gary Newman joined 21st Century Fox in 1994. Gary served as Vice President of Current Programming and Executive Vice President of Drama for 21st Century Fox. He was inducted into Broadcasting & Cable’s Television Hall of Fame, were named 2013’s “Showman of the Year” by Variety and 2011’s Television Showman of the Year by the Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild, and have been honored by UCLA’s Jonsson Cancer Center, the Los Angeles Free Clinic and the Legal Aid Society.
