Toby was Chief Executive Officer and President at Asia Interactive Media, and Executive Officer at NextMart. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of SE Global Equities. He served as an Executive Officer of Sun New Media Toby Chu joined Global Education Communities in 1994. During his career, Mr. Chu was recognized as “Top 40 Business People under 40”, and top 30 finalists for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award across Canada. Under Mr. Chu’s leadership, CIBT was named “Top 10 Most Influential Sino-Foreign MBA Programs in China”, “Top 2 College Preparation Programs in China,” “Top 5 Sino-Foreign Education Institutes in China”. In Canada, CIBT has been ranked “Top 100 Public Companies in B.C.”, Top 100 and Top 200 “Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies” by Profit Magazine 8 times in 15 years, and won the “Premium Growth Award”. In 2015, Mr. Chu received the “Chinese Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year Award” by the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs.
